SPACE236 GALLERY

SPACE236 is a neighborhood gallery committed to preserving the arts in San Francisco. Located in the Tenderloin district, the gallery served the community for two years before closing its doors. I worked in tandem with the city to transform an old liquor shop to a beautiful gallery space used to inspire creation. SPACE236 was conceived to capture the nostalgia and charm through its artists and their stories by various mediums of artwork. Featured artists share their personal experiences in San Francisco and work alongside myself to fine-tune their show. Displayed artwork range from paintings, illustration, photography, and sculptures. Aside from the rotating exhibits, SPACE236 also hosted social events with the central themes of knowledge and inspiration. Creatives speak on their craft and hold open forums in efforts to bring the community closer and foster inspiration.
